We specialise in handmade custom made furniture, where our expert craftsmen build antique bedroom furniture, French dining tables, parquetry tables, and more with the finest of materials. We pride ourselves on the use of Mahogany & Oak which was the original timber used throughout the past two centuries in Europe and England.

As expert craftsmen, we can accurately produce the finest quality French provincial furniture and other periods in exceptional detail. Each piece is carefully created to give an accurate representation of the original design in quality and style. We have spent many years perfecting each of our designs, look, touch, and overall appearance.

Mahogany by Hand has produced more than 2000 different designs

many of which are exact copies of original antique pieces produced in England and France during the 18th and 19th centuries. Our founder has an antique background and travelled Europe extensively procuring genuine antique furniture for the antique market in Australia. The knowledge of these original antiques and their construction, has been transposed into the reproduction mahogany & custom made Oak furniture we produce today.

We have produced various outstanding replicas of famous antique pieces like, the “Nicolas Heurtaut chair”, originally made for Marie Antoinette’s boudoir in the Palace of Versailles and a copy of Thomas Chippendale’s “Heyington Desk”, one of only two surviving pieces believed to have come from his famous workshop.
