This model is more of a French Refectory table, or French farm table that does not usually have an underskirt. But if you prefer a bit more of a formal look, we can add an underskirt to this style. Yes, it does add to the cost, but it also adds to overall aesthetics and appeal of this lovely solid oak refectory table. If you would prefer some other timber rather than oak, we can also accommodate that request. Oak is a premium, and therefore an expensive timber, so if you have a particular budget, there are other cheaper timber available. That does not necessarily compromise the quality of your new table. The same skill and care goes into making with whatever timber is used. Moreover, we will not recommend or allow inferior woods to be used for our high quality furniture.
